As a part of Pongal Celebration Thiru Sengoda Gounder Educational Trust and Sri Shakthi Institute Of Engineering and Technology hosted the fifth Annual Agricultural Festival “Velan Thiruvizha-23”. This festival was celebrated for two days at Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology. The main objective of this festival is to encourage natural agriculture and to develop awareness of natural fisheries and latest technologies.
The inauguration function of Velan Thiruvizha-23 started with hoisting the Velan flag. Followed by which, the Chairman of the institution, Dr.S.Thangavelu along with Dr.G.S.Sameeran, District Collector, Coimbatore, inaugurating the stalls by ribbon cutting.
In the Valedictory function of Velan Thiruvizha-23, the Chairman of the institution, Dr.S.Thangavelu, Secretary Dheepan Thangavelu, Joint Secretary Sheelan Thangavelu along with the guests distributed the certificates. The most deserving were rewarded with attractive prizes such as shield, gold coins for various categories.
