Demonstration to stop the domination of the gold industry by foreigners

The AITUC Jewelery Workers’ Union staged a protest in the south gate of Madurai, urging the government to bring in legislation to reduce the dominance of the jewelery industry by foreigners.
The protest was led by Nandasingh, who demanded that the jewelery workshop be recognized by the cottage industry and that the government pay the rent when shops were closed during the Corona period.
